EXCELLENT Based on 633 reviews Russ D2025-05-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ryan was awesome and set us up with a pair of nice electric bikes. We rode about 15 miles around the city. It was awesome!

Thank you Russ for taking the time to leave review! The ride that you both took was 15 miles minimum. The distance measured from the doors of our shop to the trailhead behind Audubon Park is 7.5 miles one-way riding the most direct route; I imagine that you clocked 18+. Unless actively tracking the distance, the miles click by with little thought, sweat or concern when cruising on an e-bike... but you both know this as being owners of e-bikes yourselves. It's great to hear that an awesome time was had. Thank you for your business. Happy trails, Ryan @ FW Robin Freeman2025-05-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot recommend this place enough! I rented a bike for a day and Ryan helped me with a map which he filled with awesome places to ride throughout the French Quarter and beyond. I loved the routes and the bike so much that I rented it for an extra day with no problem. Literally the best!

Bradley Breuer2025-04-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a phenomenal time on our e-bike tour. Our tour guide, Teddy, was an incredible storyteller and taught us so much about the rich history of New Orleans. This tour exceeded our expectations in every way. Bikes were well maintained, fast and the different stops were very informative. It poured rain but we still had fun and Teddy even took the rain as a chance to teach us about the water level.

It was a pleasure to share New Orleans with your group! You definitely experienced the most authentic New Orleans weather we have to offer and it certainly surprises people how fast the water levels can rise during a downpour. We hope to see you on your next trip to New Orleans . Heidi Sam2025-04-01Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Loved this bike shop! It’s conveniently located in the French Quarter. I rented a bike for 4 hours and that was enough time for me to tour all of French Quarter and even a little south by St. Joseph and Tchoupitoulas Street! I had so much fun biking around town. Their price is reasonable. Each bike came with a bike lock and key as well. I had to return my bike after hours and I didn’t have a single issue with their returning system. Give this place a try if you’re in need of a bike!

EXCELLENT Based on 1566 reviews FwaysGreens2025-03-25Verified Awesome e-bike tour of New Orleans There were a number of different bike tour companies and we just happened to settle on Free Wheelin', in part because another was all booked, and we're so glad that we did. The tour was fantastic, a real highlight of our vacation in New Orleans. A big advantage of FreeWheelin is that they're locals. Our guide Teddy was _amazing_, such a treasure trove of knowledge about the city, its history, regions, customs, politics, etc. And he doesn't give you a bunch of schlocky old stories. Instead you learn about all the influences on the city over the years, why things may be the way they are, where to go, and what to see. You will learn about the two things that drive everything in the city. We honestly did not want the tour to end.One thing we really liked about the tour is that it covers a lot of area, from the French Quarter up to City Park, and loads of places in between. All in all, I think we visited 5 different neighborhoods. We spent a lot of time on Esplanade and heard about the Creole background, stopped at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, visited Treme', and went all through City Park. We learned about Plessy v. Ferguson, and even stopped for a local snow ball icee. We particularly enjoyed the grove of massive ancient Live Oaks in the park. I think the e-bike tour is a good activity on your first day visiting NO to get oriented and learn about places you might want to spend more time at. The e-bikes are nice with fat tires. We felt comfortable and safe on the whole ride. We also had a relatively small group -- there were 7 of us in total -- which made it great. Teddy frequently stopped and told us about that particular location.Very highly recommended. Carol G2025-01-25Verified Great Bike Tour - A Must Brilliant Tour - Teddy was a great guide, funny & informative. Bikes were comfortable & felt very safe on the roads. Definitely recommend this tour. Cruiser296964336212024-12-28Verified The best way to experience NOLA! This was my second time with free wheeling. I went back in 2015 on a trip through NOLA and of all the things my family and I did, it was the only thing I still remember vividly because it was so fun. My family and I did the pedal bike tour in 2015, but this time I did the electric bike tour with my husband. Both tours are so fun and informative! Our guide knew so much about NOLA and you could see he really loved his city. This is definitely worth it! If I’m ever back in NOLA I would definitely do this tour again! Michael C2024-12-27Verified Great experience Tour guide was knowledgeable and added his own flair to history of the city. Very professional and serious about rider safety. Made stops at ice cream shop and some other unique sections of New Orleans. Would highly recommend. Marianna P2024-12-27Verified Get to know New Orleans with a true local We had a great time biking around New Orleans with our super guide, Teddy. Teddy is packed full of knowledge and we learned about so much New Orleans history. Susie C2024-04-23Verified Easy bike ride with some incredible stories and history along the way. Just book it! We took a tour with Teddy back in 2019 and loved it so much we came back and brought our friends! What I appreciate most is getting a tour of the city from someone who is not only local, but who clearly has such meaningful ties to his city and everyone in it. His storytelling style is so easy and unique. There no cheese or sugarcoating going on. It’s just a very cool, very straightforward history lesson and our group enjoyed every second. The ride itself was fun, comfortable, and extremely safe which allowed us to soak in the information he shared with us at each turn. Teddy is clearly known and loved around town and it was pretty cool getting to see New Orleans through his eyes. Can’t wait to come back and ride with him again Cameron L2024-04-09Verified Super awesome time!!! It ended up just being my boyfriend and myself on the tour, it was so much fun! Teddy was our guide - WHAT A REAL ONE!! Super cool dude, super knowledgeable as he is and has been a local in the area his whole life, doing the tour for 13 years and really knows his stuff. We had a blast, a lot more fun than we expected for sure. sandersross2024-03-31Verified Biking in Nola! The tour and guide were both great! It was very informative and touched on a lot of different areas in New Orleans! Would recommend! Barry Stalnaker2024-03-02Verified A fun, laid-back way to see New Orleans. We had a great time on our e-bikes exploring the French Quarter, Mardi Gras World, the riverfront, and New Orleans City Park, all without having to worry about traffic or parking.
